Text entered into the tools
NameStyle generates text in your browser. The application does not send the names you type or the designs you save to a NameStyle server. Input is not added to page URLs. When you paste a result into another service, that service handles the text under its own policies.
Local storage
Entries named namestyle-input and namestyle-input-* remember your input for the tools. The namestyle-saved entry stores designs you save. These stay in this browser until removed. Another browser or private window has its own settings and saved designs.
Removing your data
Use Saved to remove individual designs, or Clear saved to remove the collection. Clear name empties the current input and updates the remembered input. To remove all local entries, clear this website's site data in your browser settings. Saved designs cannot be recovered from NameStyle after deletion.
Hosting and ordinary page requests
This website is hosted on Vercel. Loading pages and assets sends ordinary web requests to the hosting service, which can include your IP address, browser information, requested URL, and request time. The host may process request logs to operate and protect its service. Local text generation does not prevent these normal hosting requests.
Google Analytics
On namestyle.org, Google Analytics 4 loads when you visit a page. It helps us understand visits, pages viewed, referral websites, device and browser information, and approximate location. Google processes connection information, including IP addresses, to provide the service. We do not send your typed names, generated results, saved designs, or clipboard contents to Analytics. Page addresses exclude query strings and fragments, and referral addresses are reduced to the referring website. Automatic form and site-search measurement are disabled.
Microsoft Clarity
On namestyle.org, Microsoft Clarity also loads to help us understand clicks, scrolling, and how visitors use the tools through heatmaps and session replays. Microsoft receives usage and connection information, such as page addresses, referring pages, browser and device information, and approximate location. Input fields are masked by Clarity. We explicitly mask generated text and saved design text, including the live text decorator examples, so their contents are not uploaded to Clarity. Copy buttons still work, and the application does not read your clipboard. Clarity may use cookies such as _clck and _clsk where permitted by its consent settings. We do not send a signal claiming that you have accepted analytics or advertising cookies. For visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Clarity limits tracking when cookie consent has not been provided; visits across pages may appear as separate sessions. Browser privacy settings and content blockers may also restrict collection.
Plausible Analytics
We also use self-hosted Plausible Analytics at stats.namestyle.org to measure visits, popular pages, traffic sources, approximate countries, browser and device types, and outbound link clicks. Plausible does not use cookies. We do not attach typed names, generated results, saved designs, or clipboard contents to its events. The statistics dashboard is private and requires an authorized account. The tools work independently of this service.
Analytics cookies and browser controls
Google Analytics uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_BL96YJ8716 to distinguish visits. We configure them to expire after 180 days without extending their expiry on each visit. You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on linked below to prevent Analytics collection. Deleting cookies does not erase data already received by Google. The name tools work independently of Analytics.
Advertising and accounts
NameStyle does not currently run advertising scripts, offer user accounts, or download remote fonts. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our analytics integration. We do not enable advertising consent or send user-provided data to Google.
Clipboard and policy updates
The Copy buttons write only the result you select to your clipboard. The application does not read your clipboard. We update this policy when the way the website handles data changes.
